Preventing Brain Injury
Brain injuries are caused by a bump or a blow to the head. The injuries are sometimes referred to as concussions or traumatic brain injuries, which can be mild or severe. Below are a few precautions on how to prevent brain injuries.
o Wear a seat belt every time you are in a motor vehicle
o Wear a helmet when
- Riding a bike, skating, snowboarding, skiing
- Playing contact sports such as football/hockey
o Use a window guard to prevent a child from falling out of open windows
